Why I’m Running

For more than 20 years, I’ve worked to help good people get elected and to make our community better. Along the way, I’ve seen how hard it’s become for people to work together—and how often that discourages capable, community-minded people from stepping up.

I decided to run because I’m willing to do the work. I believe progress comes from listening, building relationships, and finding common ground—even when we don’t agree on everything. I don’t see politics as a battle between enemies. I see it as neighbors working together to help our communities not just survive but thrive. That’s the approach I’ll bring to representing District 11.

Rooted in Tooele County

My family moved often when I was young, following work wherever it led. That experience taught me adaptability and the value of community early on. In 1994, I moved to Tooele County—and I’ve called it home ever since. This is the longest place I’ve ever lived, and it’s where I’ve built my life, my career, and my commitment to service.

A Career of Service and Leadership

I spent my career in real estate and development, gaining firsthand experience with housing, growth, and property rights. What started as professional involvement turned into a passion for public service. I went on to serve in leadership roles with the Utah Association of REALTORS®, including as President during the housing crisis, where collaboration and steady leadership mattered more than ever.

Giving Back to the Community

Service has always extended beyond my profession. I’ve been proud to serve with the Tooele County Chamber of Commerce, the Planning and Zoning Commission, regional transportation and economic development boards, and education-focused nonprofits. I’ve worked to support responsible growth, improve transportation access, expand educational opportunities, and help direct hundreds of thousands of dollars toward programs that serve local families and children.

Looking Ahead

I’m running because I care deeply about this community and believe District 11 deserves a representative who listens, works across differences, and focuses on solutions. I’ll bring experience, relationships, and a commitment to respectful, effective leadership—always with the goal of leaving our community stronger than I found it.
